ABOUT MY

Picture
Bui Tra My is a Vietnamese female whose interests include media education, the sociology of art and culture and cultures of urbanity.

​Her projects involve the young adults of various backgrounds in the city who are struggling over identity in a digital and transformative context. Her recent works combine sociological and cultural frameworks on digital media in both English and Vietnamese.

My received her Master of Arts in Critical & Creative Analysis from Deparment of Sociology at Goldsmiths, University of London (2013) and Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Communication from University of Social Sciences & Humanities Hanoi, Vietnam National University (2012).

She is currently carrying on her life long learning journey with MSc Psychology program in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience (University of Glasgow).

Following several years being a media practitioner in journalism then promotional industry, My had 8 years working at The Olympia Schools as a teacher of media & communications, head of social sciences, head of student life and a member of principal board. She is currently teaching foundation studies programme at RMIT University.

My also participates in researches in the field of social sciences, guest lectured in Media & Communications at Hanoi University of Culture, FPT University,... and conducted open workshops on media and culture.
